City of Jacksonville First Unitary Election will be Certified & Audit is Scheduled

DUVAL COUNTY, Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland and the Canvassing Board met on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. to certify the March 24th First Unitary Election. The Supervisor of Elections will send certified final election results from the First Unitary Election to the Florida Division of Elections. 

The Canvassing Board, which consists of Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland, Judge Pauline Drake and Jacksonville City Councilwoman Lori Boyer, also randomly select the Mayor’s race and precincts 1001, 808, 611 and 301 for the post First Unitary Election audit that will be conducted on Monday, March 30 at 9:00 a.m.

The certification and the audit will be conducted at the Elections Center, located at 1 Imeson Park Blvd, Building 100 Jacksonville, FL. 32218. The certification will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, March 27th. The audit is schedule for Monday, March 30th at 9:00 a.m., to be extended if necessary. The certification and the manual audit are open to the public.

Final turnout for the First Unitary Election held on March 24th, 2015 was 33.77% of all 549,069 registered voters. A total of 185,395 Ballots were cast in the First Unitary Election. For more information please call (904) 630-1414 or visit www.duvalelections.com.
