Sample Ballots for the March 19, 2024, are being mailed

JACKSONVILLE – Duval County Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland announces that sample ballots for the Presidential Preference Primary (PPP) Election are being mailed this week to 152,171 households.

Our Office has emailed 34,447 eligible voters who requested to receive a sample ballot via email for the PPP Election. Florida is a closed Primary state which means that in this PPP election, Republicans are the only party who have candidates in which to cast ballots. That is because Democrats in Florida had only one candidate in the Presidential Preference Primary race.

While several Republican Presidential candidates have suspended their campaigns, it does not mean they have officially dropped out of the race. So, their names will remain on the Presidential Preference Primary ballot, and they can receive votes in Florida.

Eligible registered Republicans can vote at any of our 24 Early Voting sites for the PPP Election starting March 8, 2024. You can see a complete list of early voting locations and hours on our website, www.duvalelections.gov.

If you have questions about the PPP Election, please call the Duval County Elections Office at 904-255-VOTE (8683).
