Statement by Jerry Holland, Duval County Supervisor of Elections on Absentee Ballot Voter Confusion

JACKSONVILLE – “It has come to our attention that the ‘Let’s Get to Work’ campaign released a mail piece indicating that vote-by-mail ballots, often referred to as absentee ballots, should have already arrived for voters. This is not the case. The earliest domestic vote-by-mail ballots can go out is September 30^th and may be sent to voters through October 31^st by statute. Please keep this timetable in mind if you receive this campaign mailer.”
