JACKSONVILLE – 9827 letters were sent to voters who may have moved to confirm their residency in Duval County. This action is being taken in response to information our office has received through the National Change of Address (NCOA) program supplied by the United States Postal Service (USPS). Voters who have not moved from their current registered address will need to respond within 30 days, by returning the card or contacting our office in order to remain “active” on the voter roll for Duval County.

Voters whose status is moved to “inactive” are still eligible to vote for a period up to two general elections. If the voter does not vote or have any elections activity during this period, the voter’s status will be moved to “ineligible” on the voter roll. Voters who are ineligible will need to re-register to vote in a future election.

Jerry Holland, Supervisor of Elections for Duval County, notes, “Voters have a right to know their status and be given the opportunity to respond. Our office has a responsibility to ensure the voter rolls are accurate and up to date.”

Any voter can look up their voter registration information by visiting duvalelections.gov and clicking the “My Voter Status” button. Annual voter registration list maintenance is conducted as per Florida law and the National Voter Registration Act. Voters are encouraged to update their information to maintain an active status and ensure the integrity of the voter rolls.
