Grand Opening of the Duval County’s New Election Center

Tuesday, May 6, 2014 Duval County Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland is proud to announce the Grand Opening of the Duval County Elections Center at 1 Imeson Park Blvd., Building 100, Jacksonville, FL 32218. A ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 12:30 p.m. with a walk through and refreshments offered until 6 p.m.
Duval County’s New Elections Center will offer many benefits, including a built to suit one story building to maximize efficiency, new roof with a 15 year warranty and two secured loading docks for election equipment. The new building offers over two thousand parking spaces and three state of the art training rooms with turning point technologies for poll worker training. The new building will also save Duval County taxpayers approximately $3.3 million over a ten year period, as compared to Gateway location, with additional savings coming from energy efficiencies.
The renovations to the building came at no additional cost to the taxpayers, but rather, the costs of the renovations to the building were entirely paid for by the property owners, One Imeson.
The Duval County Supervisor of Elections office is advancing toward the future in serving the Duval county’s citizens from our new location.
