Early Voting for Primary Election Begins Monday, August 13, 2018 at 18 Locations Across Duval County

JACKSONVILLE – Supervisor of Elections, Mike Hogan, reminds all eligible Duval County voters that Early Voting for the Primary Election begins Monday, August 13, 2018 and runs through Sunday, August 26. The Primary Election is scheduled for Tuesday, August 28, 2018.

Any registered voter may vote at any Early Voting site, but on Election Day voters must vote in the precinct where they live. Early Voting is defined as “casting a ballot in person prior to Election Day at a location designated by the Supervisor of Elections and depositing the voted ballot in the tabulation system.” The voter uses the same type of voting equipment that is used at the polls on Election Day. In all elections, when there is a state or federal office race, Early Voting is required to be available.

It should be noted that the Duval County Supervisor of Elections is providing 18 Early Voting locations across Duval County (which is the highest number of sites per capita of the large Florida counties). In addition, Duval voters are given the maximum number (14) of days for Early Voting. A list of Early Voting locations, maps, and hours can be found online at https://www.duvalelections.com/Election-Information/Early-Voting.
