Special General Election will be Certified and Audit is Scheduled

DUVAL COUNTY, Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland and the Canvassing Board will meet on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. to certify the February 17 Special State House District 13 General Election. The Supervisor of Elections will send certified final election results from the Special General Election to the Florida Division of Elections.

The Canvassing Board, which consists of Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland, Judge Ronald Higbee and Jacksonville City Council Don Redman, will also randomly select the precincts for the post Special General Election audit that will be conducted on Monday, March 2^nd at 11:00 a.m..

The certification and the audit will be conducted at the Elections Center, located at 1 Imeson Park  Blvd, Building 100 Jacksonville, FL. 32218. The certification will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27^th. The audit is schedule for Monday, March 2^nd at 11:00 a.m., to be extended if necessary. The certification and the manual audit is open to the public.

 Final turnout for the Special General Election held on February 17, 2015 was 8.89% of all 90,877 registered voters residing in State House District 13. A total of 8,076 Ballots were cast in the Special General Election. For more information please call (904) 630-1414 or visit www.duvalelections.com
