2013 Freedom Award Winners

Supervisor Holland had the honor of presenting the 2013 Freedom Award to students and faculty of Bishop Kenny High School On May 21, 2013. Bishop Kenny won the Overall Private School Award for registering 131 of their eligible students. Bishop Kenny High School has participated in the Countywide Voter Registration Drive for the past 11 years; this is Bishop Kenny’s 2nd year winning the Freedom Award.

Supervisor Holland had the honor of presenting the 2013 Freedom Award to students and faculty of Paxon School of Advance Studies on May 24, 2013. Paxon won the Freedom Award for registering 411 of their eligible students. Paxon has participated in the Countywide Voter Registration Drive for the past 11 years; this is Paxon’s 5th year winning the Freedom Award.

Deputy Supervisor Tracie Davis had the honor of presenting the 2013 Freedom Award to students and faculty of Foundation Christian Academy. Foundation won the Freedom Award for registering 33 of their eligible students. Foundation has participated in the Countywide Voter Registration Drive and won the Freedom Award 5 out of the past 7 years.

Supervisor Holland had the honor of presenting the 2013 Freedom Award to his alma mater Fletcher High School on May 30, 2013. The Freedom Award was presented to students and faculty of Fletcher High School during the Senior Award Banquet. Fletcher won the Freedom Award for registering 594 of their eligible students. Fletcher has won this award 4 out of the last 7 years.

Supervisor Holland presented the Freedom Award to students and faculty at Mandarin High School during their annual Freedom Award Ceremony. on May 31, 2013. Of the 70 participating schools, Mandarin High won the Ultimate Freedom Award for registering 756 students. Mandarin has won this award 4 out of the last 6 years.

Supervisor Holland presented the Freedom Award to A. Philip Randolph Campus High School. Their school registered or pre-registered 161 students student population during this year’s Countywide Student Voter Registration Drive, which was 39 percent of their 16-18 year old student population. Congratulations to A. Philip Randolph Campus High School!
